www.jamessmellie.co.uk understands the value of privacy, and will therefore only use the information you give us to process your order and provide a quick and convenient service to you in the future. We will only use the information we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the data protection act 1988).

We do not sell mailing lists to other companies, or divulge any of your personal details to other companies or individuals.

We will not email you in the future unless you have given your consent. If after giving your consent, you decide you no longer wish to receive emails from www.jamessmellie.co.uk, you can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email stating this.

We do not store customer’s credit card details - We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us, again stating your requirements if you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly as appropriate or as requested. The personal information, which we hold, will be held securely in accordance with our security policy and the law.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behavior of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. This may save time when logging in during your next visit; however disabling cookies will not stop you from doing so. We do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam).

All credit card transactions are handled by PAYPAL or on a secure server using a minimum of SSL/128-bit encryption.

Delivery And Handling Details

Delivery - Postage and Packaging Charges are for within mainland UK and will normally be within 10 working days (maximum of 28 days) from time of order, for Overseas deliveries please contact us for arrangements prior to ordering. Where delivery cannot be made within the target time, you will be contacted and made aware of any delays. Notwithstanding small items that will fit through a letterbox, in which case a standard Royal Mail delivery with proof of posting will be used, deliveries must be signed for on receipt, when no signature is obtainable the courier will return the goods to the depot nearest to yourself, and a further attempts will be made to deliver the goods on the following days, if there is still no person to receive the goods they will be taken back to the nearest depot and retain for approximately one week. The order can be collected from the depot with proof of attempted delivery, or utility bill and photo ID. If the goods are to be delivered again then a charge may be made by the courier collected by us, this charge is only incurred when the customer requests a further delivery, to avoid this charges just contact the local depot and call in person to collect the parcel.

Delivery Charges are as follows

Delivery charges are fixed for UK Mainland Delivery Only. We will only deliver to UK Mainland only. We will not deliver to Highlands & Islands including Northern Ireland. UK Mainland is as defined by our current courier whoever that may be at time of purchase.

Cancellations

Cancellations of non-bespoke items can be made at any time after an order has been placed, all cancellations must be made by using the secure Contact Us form giving details and your order number. Cancellations made, after orders have been dispatched (after dispatch e-mail has been sent) may be subject to a return carriage charge. Bespoke orders may only be cancelled at the discretion of James Smellie Ltd.

Returns, Replacement, Refunds Policy

Returning goods should always be arranged by contacting us first. Please do not return goods with out first contacting ourselves. Returning goods which have been damaged on delivery must contact us within 24 hours of receipt of the order. These will be collected by our couriers and replacement sent through.

Returning faulty goods

When returning faulty good you should always contact us with the details of the product which is faulty and details of the fault. We will contact you in return with the correct procedure. Goods will be replaced subject to an inspection and finding of a manufacturing flaw.

Returning non faulty goods

Returning non faulty, non-bespoke goods may be done so within 30 days of receipt of the order. Goods must be in new condition and in original packaging in order to obtain a full refund. Return of non faulty goods is done at customers own cost.
