  • Smoke hoods are used mainly to reduce the size of the fireplace opening to improve the draw of the chimney/flue.
  • They are also used as a simply decorative item. Normally they are fixed "inside" the top of the opening, slightly protruding into the room but can also be made to fit to the wall on the outside face of the opening. If you require face fixing please state this when you make your enquiry.
  • Our smoke hoods may be fixed in place with an expanding rod (usually effective if the hood is up to 22" wide and up to 4" high) or can simply be drilled and fixed with screws. Please let us know the required dimensions as shown in the other diagram when you contact us for a quote.
  • We recommend smoke hoods are measured and fitted by a qualified person.
